Inversion level factor

Can someone explain to me what is meant by Inversion level factor(IF) and the formula for it?\

In weak inversion for mos devices it's the ratio of drain current to saturation current. If equal you are in moderate inversion. Greater than ten strong inversion. Less than than ten weak inversion.

Saturation current is process dependent.

Normally I have heard this ratio called inversion coefficient not factor but I think it means the same thing.
