Power and statistical analysis in asd2004
Mar 02nd, 2012, 3:26am

Hi,

I am using ads and I would like to find out the power consumption of the circuits in the project. How do you do power analysis in ads...?

Also can you do statistical(or monte carlo) simulation on transistors in ads?

Thanks!

Can't you measure the current through the voltage sources and use that to compute the power?

I'm sure you can do statistical analysis in ADS, though I haven't done it myself.  You'd need to have model cards/library that defines the variations.

I guess I will have to do it as such...I was hoping to avoid it since the circuit are fairly large by find an automatic way to compute power....

As for the statistical I will probably just do a parameter sweep and get what I want....

Thanks!
