root raised cosine filter in cadence rfLib
Mar 06th, 2012, 2:15am

Hi all,

just wondering if anybody can shed some light on the meaning of the parameters in the root-raised-cos component in cadence rfLib. The parameters are:

alpha
over_samples
group_delay
frame_time
numChipsOut

I only have a vague idea of what they are. For example, alpha should be the roll-off factor, over_samples probably has something to do with the sampling rate of the filter...

If anybody has any idea how to set these parameters, I would appreciate any help. Assume I have a data rate of 1 Mbit/s for each path (I and Q), and with QPSK modulation, my final transmit bandwidth is 2 MHz.

thanks,
Aaron
