group devices in spectre noise contribution
Feb 19th, 2013, 5:48am

Hi everybody,

Many times I am not interested in the noise contribution of all separate devices on the schematic, but more in noise contribution of groups of devices.

The simplest example is to have an RC filter which is built up from unit devices. If you have 100 resistor units and each contributes only, 0.25% to the overall noise, then you will almost never notice it on the noise contribution list. A similar case when you have a differential pair with many paralell devices.

Also I wish sometimes to know all the noise contribution of a subblock, without adding manually all its dominant contributors.

Is there any trick which can make it work in spectre?

Thanks,
Zoltan
