Strange simulation
Aug 16th, 2013, 9:17am

In a simple transient  simulation setup where 50 ohm RF port is loaded with 50 ohm resistor load and voltage in RF port is set to 10uV (say) then we get 10uv at output which is perfect. But when load changes to say 200 ohm then swing is 16uV. How is that possible?

A 50 ohm RF port with 10 uV is a voltage source of 20 uV in series with a 50 ohm resistor.
