how to add customer model to a device in Cadence
May 23rd, 2014, 7:33am

Hi,

I want to simulate a customer-made device. I've got the model file, but I don't know how to couple the model file to the device. Does anyone can help?

Kind regards,

RF_Man,

If it is a standard model. Use a symbol from analogLib in the
schematic, for example, analogLib mos4. Enter your model name
as the model name. Then in the simulator options include the
your file.

Sheldon,

It's not a standard model. How should it be done then?

RF-man,

By a standard model, I meant a model supported by the simulator.
If the simulator supports the model, then you need to define the model
and the path to the model parameters. If the simulator does not
support the model, then you will need to create/define the model,
as well as, define the name and the path to the model parameters.
