Hi Voltage DC to DC converter
Jun 06th, 2017, 10:33am

Hi, I want to design a 24v in to 850v out, 400 watt switching power supply. The gain is very high to use a regular boost converters. Can anybody recommend a way to do this without going thru several stages?

This might be suitable (your specification is extremely challenging):

J. M. de Sousa, G. H. A. Bastos, R. P. Torrico-Bascopé and C. M. T. Cruz, "High voltage gain Buck-Boost DC-DC converter based on Three-State Switching Cell," 2015 IEEE 13th Brazilian Power Electronics Conference and 1st Southern Power Electronics Conference (COBEP/SPEC), Fortaleza, 2015, pp. 1-6.

Probably you will need to add a transformer (as in the standard
isolated Cuk).
