difference between SIMPLIS vs Cadence PSTB ?
Sep 14th, 2019, 7:29am

To get AC Bode plot, both seems to be using periodic steady state concept and then get the STB or AC performance. If both test benches are using macro-models with VCCS instead of transistor level amplifier, probably the speed of sim are about the same ?
Thanks.

Simplis uses abstract models and is meant more for design. Because the models are simple and abstract Simplis is only suitable for design. Spectre is a transistor level simulator and so is used for verification. Since Spectre is generally running at the transistor level, it would be much slower than Simplis, but you are getting all the details.
