Many designers use  both PCs and workstations in parallel. However on UNIX workstations and within Cadence DFII you often miss nice tools available on MS Windows, e.g. a good Smith chart design tool, filter programs, transmission line tools or even small calculators for dB, dBm, etc. or two-port conversion. I think people really need more such small goodies in a tool box in Cadence environment.
