asynchronous detector for RF signal
Jul 12th, 2003, 6:18am

In addition to the original information signal, the output of an asynchronous demodulator may contain a number of interfering and unwanted components. What actually causes the interfering and unwanted components and what can be done to minimise their affects ???

a mixer will produce sum and difference products, and the harmonics of the LO will also mix and generate "undesired" mixing products.  Filtering is what you can do to minimize their magnitudes and their impact.  Frequency planning is part of the game. Wink
