I need help with lammbdal!!!
Jul 08th, 2004, 2:26pm

Hi,

I´m a student who is starting to use Cadence.
Could somebody tell me the length of modulation channel (lammbda) to NMOS transistors to AMS 0.8u?

Specially useful can be W/L=20/0.8,20/5,20/10 and 20/20. Although others may also be useful

thanks

you have to measure/plot it using calculator tool. The formula is:

(1/Id) * (delta Id/ delta Vds)

So take a simple NMOS, sweep Vds. plug this formula in the calculator and plot it. The reason is that lambda depends on Vds and it's not constant.
