Questions on noise type in Pnoise analysis
Sep 29th, 2004, 12:09pm

This question is regarding Ken's paper "Designers Noise Simulation of Sigma-Delta Modulators".
When we do a pnoise analysis, there is an option to select Noise Type as "Time domain" or "Sources".

In Ken's paper "Designers Noise Simulation of Sigma-Delta Modulators", for circuit in Figure-18 if I want to get the same input referred noise as in Figure-19 whether Pnoise analysis should be performed with noisetype=Time domain or Sources?

Also, if the noise type=sources is selected then in SpectreRF there is an option to plot the input noise in the direct plot form. But when noise type=time domain is selected then there is no direct way to plot "input referred noise". There is an option to select "Instance Contributor" and plot the noise. Using this Iam able to select the input source and plot the noise. Does this corresponds to "input referred noise"? If not, then how would I plot the "input referred noise" when noise type=time domain?
