Help to simulate RF Bandpass filter with Spectre
Jan 13th, 2005, 10:00am

Hi all,

I am currently working on my RF Passive Bandpass filter (top-C coupled topology) at 1.9GHz with 200MHz Bandwidth, I really need help (if can, step by step tutorial) on simulation my circuit on Cadence Spectre, especially IIP3 and 1-dB Compression Point plot with PSS analysis, bacause I always get error messages (oxide breakdown..) from it and the test fail.

Thanx ya Smiley

Maybe I am missing something, but why do you need PSS analyses for a passive filter? If your circuit does not have periodic inputs (e.g. clocks), PSS analyses will not give you any advantage compared to conventional small-signal analyses and will take more time.
