Find MOS operation region in spectre calculator
Jan 20th, 2005, 12:10pm

Hi,

Does anyone know the meaning of operation region from spectre calculator? The device operation region was represented by some
numbers and I have no idea what is these numbers mean.

Here is the command in spectre: OP("/N0" "region").

Thanks!

Hi,
I think the numbers are as follows:
0 off
1 Triode
2 Saturation
3 Subthreshold

If you run "spectre -h dev" where 'dev' is the name of the device for N0, you will see the complete list of possible values for the region parameter. The number corresponds to the index for the values in this list starting from 0.  So 0 would correspond to the first item in the list, 1 to the second in the list, etc.
