Hi,
I have a conceptual problem with the specification of a delta-sigma, oversampling (audio) DAC. Such a DAC features an 'internal' multibit DAC, e.g a switched-capacitor bank, preceeding the reconstruction filter.
Now, the noise of such a switched-cap DAC is given by kT/C. However, for an oversampling ADC, you gain C because of the oversampling ratio (OSR). So, the noise would become kT/(C*OSR).
I was wondering if this also holds true for the DAC (internal)?
Kind regards
Peter
