Hello,

If you are looking for some general introduction on analog filters, "Design of Analog Filters" by Rolf Schaumann and Mac E. Van Valkenburg has some quite good material. But it does not talk about IC implementations. On that topic, you better consider "Analog MOS Integrated Circuits for Signal Processing" by Roubik Gregorian and Gabor Temes, an excellent book (that's at least my point of view).

If you give some more information on your application (integrated or not, continuous-time or sampled signal,...), we may provide some more specific answer to the question.

Best

Hi Paul,
I am doing research on adaptive analog filters (integrated, continuous-time) to be used in a wireless transceiver. I want to start from the basics and then go into details. I'll be thankful if you could also suggest me some good papers in this field.

Thanks much.

Regards,
Vaibhav

Sorry, that's not exactly my field of expertise... I'm sure somebody else will be able to help you out.

Hi Vaibhav,

Please take a look at this topic which was recently on this board:

http://www.designers-guide.org/Forum/?board=analog_design;action=display;num=112...

This has some information about links to the basic CT filters. For more detailed
things, visit the website of the research group headed by Dr. Yannis Tsividis at Columbia University, and look up the paper by Tsividis and Palaskas in IEEE-JSSC (Feb. 2004).

Hope that helps.

Vivek

Hi Vaibhav,
I found this following repository very useful for continous time filters.

http://amesp02.tamu.edu/~sanchez/Tutorial-Santander-2002.pdf

I obtained this from a Texas A&M university's Analog Mixed Signal Consortium website. It seems like they offer a full fledged course on Active filter design. The link to the course notes is as follows.

http://amesp02.tamu.edu/~sanchez/ee622.html

And as Vivek suggsested there is a slew of information on Continous time filters, esp by Yannis Tsividis at Columbia University.Search using his name in JSSC. Hope that helps.
