Job Description:
Provide system engineering expertise and support to RFID and other projects.
Collaborate closely with Impinj's hardware and IC designers through all phases of product development process to ensure successful execution of innovative, best-in-class designs.
Analyze market and customer technical requirements and make recommendations on best system and IC-level architectures for RFID and other products.
Perform component modeling, analysis and simulation, requirements allocation, and verification.
Consult on other development projects within the company.
Required Skills
MSEE and 6 years experience developing hardware in a system engineering or hardware design role, including experience developing wireless communication systems.
Hands-on experience monitoring and troubleshooting communication components such as modems, antennas, firmware, and software.
Knowledge of link analysis, including link budgets, fading, interference, and other channel parameters.
Experience developing and implementing DSP algorithms.
Programming skills in C/C++ or MATLAB.
Knowledge of communications standards and standards body processes.
Strong written communication and documentation skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Semiconductor experience with RFICs or analog circuits.
RFID or Radar experience.
Familiarity with IP disclosure process and offensive patent reviews.
Verilog or SPICE simulation experience.
