Assura LVS avxp process
May 16th, 2006, 11:10am

Hi,

I am using Assura 3.1 LVS and I seem to find that after the LVS has run, I always get two avxp processes which ramp up to maximum process usage, and need to be manually killed in order to free up the processor and allow me to continue to work.

I was wondering whether anyone knows
1) what avxp does ?
2) why i get two invoked everytime I LVS, which don't die but ramp up the processor usage.
3) does anyone else suffer from this/have a solution ?

if i manually kill these processes it doesn't effect the LVS run. I am running on LINUX.

cheers

aw

I'm pretty certain I've seen reports of this (I'm not on the Cadence network at the moment, so I can't check).

Regards,

Andrew.
