help on repeating simple t/h example in SpectreRF
Jun 28th, 2006, 12:31am

Hi -
I'm new to spectreRF and find the article "Simulating Switched-Capacitor Filters with SpectreRF" (under Anaysis/Analog SImulation) extremely informative. However, I'm having a difficult time repeating the figures for just a simple t/h simulation. If you were able  to repeat that successfuly, I would be very much interested to know how you did it.  Perhaps, Ken can also provide some hints on how you generated those plots for the article.

thanks,
LL

Perhaps you can be more specific? For example, which figures are you trying to recreate?

Have you tried downloading the netlists and starting from there?

Hi Ken,
Thank yuo for your reply.  Yes I did download the netlist but still wasn't able to repeat the plots in the doc. BTW, the netlist as is doesn't run. I  made some mod before I was able to get the sim to run.

I see that dwingram is asking the same thing I after.  Your reply to his post will defintely clear up my inquiry as well.

I will wait for your reply.  Many thanks in advance.

Really? Did you supply the -E argument to spectre (it gives you an error if you don't, since this example uses cpp directives).

I just re-tried both netlists, and can run with:

Code:
spectre -E tah.ckt
spectre -E scf.ckt

Regards,

Andrew.

HI Andrew,

Thank you for your reply.  Yes, the -E corrected the error.  Does your pxf result look close to fig 8 in the doc?

There was an error in the paper. To get the results shown in Fig 8, the PXF analysis must use the node 'sout' rather than the node 'out'. I have updated the paper and the netlists.
