Gaussian Noise Source
Nov 21st, 2006, 2:40am

Hi,

I'm looking for a gaussian white noise source for transient simulations. I have found the "noise_src" in the "ahdlLib" but it delivers only a uniform distributed noise.
Does there exist a predefined gaussian white noise source in Cadence or can someone give me a hint how to create one?

Thanks
Markus

you can use:
$rdist_normal ( seed , mean , standard_deviation ) ;
$dist_normal ( seed , mean , standard_deviation ) ;
to create your own gaussian distributed numbers....

look up the usage in the verilogA manual in your cadence installation path.
