One Pin Crystal Oscillator
Jan 29th, 2007, 1:32am

Hi,
we are planning to design one pin crystal oscillator and currently we are making some literature research. There are quite bit papers on the web. At the first glance, there are two big advantages, less current and one less pin, which looks pretty attractive to me. But I don't see that many implementations on the market, maybe there are, but I am not aware of it?

My questions is, does anybody know any big disadvantages of one pin cyrstal oscillator circuits or any details we have to be aware of during the design phase?

Thanks.
