Cadence simulation problem
Feb 05th, 2007, 12:26am

Dear all,

I have a question about the Cadence simulation setting. I hope you could help me. In our simulation, I need to edit the “input.scs” file. After I finished the edition and press the "RUN”icon in the Analog Design Environment Windows. The simulated result is same as the netlist I changed before. However, I run the
"runSimulation” script file in the command prompt. It could give out the edited result. Why will it happen? How could I set that it could allow me to press RUN icon in ADE instead?

Best Regards,

wccheng

I've you use the run icon or the run menu item ADE will take your previously
netlisted design out of the machines memory.

Try
-  "Simulation -> Netlist -> Recreate"
- Edit the netlist
- Run (run only!) the simulator again.

The netlist recreate action will force ADE to use the netlist form disk.

Why do you need to edit the netlist? Knowing that might allow me to give a better way of achieving what you're really tring to achieve.

Regards,

Andrew.
