Annular/Circular transistors and BSIM4 model
Feb 08th, 2007, 3:37am

Does anyone know if the BSIM4 is able to model transistors with asymmetric geometry like the annular/circular gate transistors?

The old BSIM3v3 model always had the problem modelling the capacitance whereas for example the gm of the annular transistor could be approximated by an effective W/L ratio.

From a scaling (W/L) perspective, BSIM3 and 4 are cut from the same fold.  I doubt you'll do any better.
