Nonlinearity of RF front-end
Jun 02nd, 2007, 12:29am

Hello, everyone,

Help needed

Q:
The nonlinearity of a RF front-end can be modeled as a 7-order polynomial expression:

                       vo=k1*vi+k3*vi^3+k5*vi^5+k7*vi^7+....

For GSM1800, it has 374 channels with the channel width of 200kHz.

(1)Please find a theoretical expression for the 1-dB compression point, intercept point, and SFDR.

(2)Use GSM1800 as an example, please calculate the 1-dB compression point, intercept point, and SFDR for every channel.

(3)Please comment your results for GSM1800.

(4)If k1=33.996; k3=-5743.7; k5=-4.0016*1.e6; k7=-8.0760*1.e8 , please use the expressions you obtained above to plot some meaningful graph for each expression. Also, please propose your own solutions to reduce the effects.

This sounds like a university homework assignment. Suggest you go back to the material presented in class and see whats there. If all else fails, talk to the professor.
