choosing implement method of bandpass sigma-delta
Apr 06th, 2008, 8:28pm

hi, all
when implement a SC bandpass sigma-delta modulator, one can choose LDI, FE, DD(double delay) structure, while I want to ask, since DD can implement the fuction DD, which means it can easily implement any transfer function of resonator, and some paper shows it can tunable that not limit signal frequency to fs/4, then does it means DD is the best choice of bandpass sigma-delta?
the only disadvantage of it is the open loop during the time phase 1 shift to phase 2, and I want to ask if the effect is deadly? and which of the three is used most common? and besides this, does it have any other disadvantage?

thanks
