How to balance I/Q loading for CML divider?
Feb 26th, 2009, 5:51pm

Hi guys,

As the title, a CML divider(DIV-1) is used to generate a group of I/Q differential signals (In, Ip, Qn, Qp) for the following mixer. Since there is another CML divider(DIV-2) following this divider(DIV-1), which means a group of differential signals will be fed into DIV-2, the I/Q loading for DIV-1 will not be balance.

Is there any suggestion or paper as reference to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Regards Cheesy

jlee,

Now that one pair of differential signals goes to DIV-2, put a dummy DIV-2 for the other pair of differential signals.
