integration limits for closed loop jitter
Jun 10th, 2009, 11:36am

Hi All,

I am following this forum for a long time and thanks for your work, first of all. I would like to ask you a question.
I calculated with Spectre the phase noise of all the blocks that make up the loop of the PLL. Then, I multiplicated them for the loop gain (low pass or high pass function, depending on the point of injection).
Now, in order to transform phase noise in jitter I must integrate the result.. but in which bandwidth? I thought it was, for all the kinds of noises, the bandwidth of the loop, but in the example I have they are not integrated in this way.
Could you please help me in understanding the way I should integrate them?

Thanks in advance.
