ERROR (ADE-5058) Unable to start tool ams

Hi, I'm trying to perform a simulation using UltraSim using Hierarchy Editor but the AMS plugin doesn't initialize.
I get the following error message:

ERROR (ADE-5058): Unable to start session for tool ams. Either session log files are
� � � �not initialize or session is not valid.
"ERROR: Unable to initialize artist session, failed to select design.\n"

Could someone give me a hint on how to solve this issue?

I found reports of this happening when either the run directory, or the files within the run directory, do not have write permission for whoever is running the simulation. Because of that, ADE cannot overwrite the log files (hence the message).

If this doesn't solve it, I suggest you contact Cadence Customer Support at http://support.cadence.com. It would help if you specified the version of the software you're using...

That was kinda strange since I already had run some simulations. Anyway, the problem was solved by deleting the older log files.
