Preamplifier noise specifications
Jul 19th, 2011, 11:31pm

Hai,
I want to calculate the following two quantities for my preamplifier with cadence tool. Can anybody give me the procedure?
1. Total input referred noise voltage Power Spectral Density @1Hz & @100Hz.
2. Total input referred r.m.s noise voltage (1 Hz - 100 Hz)
Suggest me acceptable range of the above two quantities for low noise low power applications

Thanks in advance,
Nishanth P.V

If you had run noise analysis in ADE, the input referred noise power spectral density is there.

Then integrate the power spectral density from 1 Hz to 100 Hz, you get the total input referred r.m.s noise voltage (1 Hz - 100 Hz)

At last, I don't know what is acceptable range. You should ask your customer if you have, otherwise ask who is in charge of the project.
