Current-input current-output integrator
Feb 22nd, 2012, 9:58pm

Hi!

Does somebody have an idea or information of the existing techniques to build a current-input current-output integrating function (i_out(t)=integ(i_in(t)dt), limits: -inf, t)? Please help; thanks.

Best regards,
Rajesh

1. put a current into a capacitor.
2. voltage on cap is proportional to the integral of the current.
3. Use an op amp in a V to I converter configuration
(see any op amp book)

that what you are looking for?

hello,
as rf idea and loose electron said, just dump some current into cap and convert that voltage into voltage by V2I converter. In fact all integrators are based current input, but we are interested to integrate voltage so we used to keep resister to converter voltage into current.

Thanks,
Raj.
