Time Delay in VCVS & Delay Block in Spectre (Cadence 5) no influence
Mar 09th, 2012, 3:53am

Hi all -
I have in Cadence 6 a testbench where I delay on output transient signal using a VCVS with the time delay option.
That works quite well.
In our Cadence 5 setup I implemented the same testbench, also using the VCVS as delay element.. But here the time delay setting shows NO influence.
Any hint on that?

Best regards,
Thomas

Examine the Spectre logfiles to see if you are using the same Spectre version in both cases. If not, configure your Cadence 5 setup to use the same Spectre version as your Cadence 6 setup.

If you are using the same Spectre version and still have problems, compare the netlists generated by Cadence 5 and Cadence 6, especially the line for the vcvs in question.
