Quantization noise spectrum
May 15th, 2012, 9:02pm

Hi,

In any Nyquist ADC, the quantization noise power is given by VLSB2/12 which is spread across -fs/2 to fs/2.

Could anyone comment on - "why it is limited from -fs/2 to fs/2"?

Thanks,
ADesign

Because it is discrete output with sampling clock Fs.

hello,
When you a sample a signal with Fs sampling rate, frequency components above fs will be fold back into fs. Any real signal is symmetric around fs/2.

Thanks,
Raj.
