Behavioral modeling of Sigma Delta + Divider
Jul 24th, 2012, 10:11am

Hello all,
I am currently modeling a Sigma delta MASH mod in matlab. I have managed to simulate it and get the Quantization noise PSD (which is just the periodogramme of the output of the Sigma Delta). Now I want to simulate how this noise will translate at the output of the divider.. For this I tried to Map the Sigma delta output to a frequency (fvco/(N+dN)) which is straightforward. Now, if I convert this frequency to a signal (say sine or square), I will get the power spectra at only those particular frequencies that the divider outputs. How do I recover the Sigma delta noise spectrum at the divider output i.e. from the divider output spectrum?

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks,
KMB
