2 tone design in ADS
Jul 09th, 2014, 9:31pm

Hi,
I'm new in this forum, and ADS software/RF design as well.

I want to design 2 tone signal in ADS and look at the efficiency performance. I have take a look at the designguide in ADS software, under “amplifier” and “loadpull” 2 tone. My problem is, I do not know how to interpret the efficiency plot for Doherty PA, seems the plot are in time domain and frequency domain. Could you pls assist me in this matter. Many thanks!

Two tones signal are equivalent to DSB AM(Amplitude Modulation) Signal without carrier.

Consider efficiency as DSB AM generator.
