simulator settings adjustment after Tstab
Apr 26th, 2015, 4:52am

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to change te simulation accuracy after some time in cadence ADE with Spectre.
Some circuits require long startup time and only a short accurate simulation is necessary. It would improve the speed if a first run can be done with low accuracy and further simulations with high accuracy.

changing the reltol would be ideal after some time T. Is it maybe possible to save the state of the circuit after a coarse simulation and use this state as inital condition for an accurate simulation? Then the simulation can be done in two steps.

Best regards,

Yes, the feature is called "dynamic parameters" (see http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNu...). To use it during the tstab interval of a pss or hb analysis, you need MMSIM 14.1 (see http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNu...).
