Psudo differential ring oscillator - bias voltage equation
May 25th, 2015, 10:26am

Hi,
I am new to PLL design. I am trying to understand the exact relationship between the bias voltage, bias current of a current starved psudo-differential ring oscillator.

Attaching a screenshot for clarity.

Guidance/Help is highly appreciable.

such methods work on paper but tend to be a noise and jitter problem in silicon.

if this is going to be a real piece of silicon I suggest you research other design alternatives

google: Maneatis ring oscillator

that will get you started
