Capacitor mismatch in sampler/DAC (Read 1964 times)

DesertFox New Member Offline Posts: 5 United States	Capacitor mismatch in sampler/DAC Sep 25^th, 2015, 12:14pm How does capacitor mismatch depend on the value of the capacitor? Is it the same as mosfets i.e. with increase of area the mismatch reduces? If I am not limited by kT/C noise in sampler (my design has multiple samplers), can I go arbitrarily low with the value of the capacitor or is it limited after a certain resolution?

Eventually KT/C noise gets you, or the charge injection of the switches starts to become a significant part of the error, or leakage into a gate starts to become an error source.
