Hi,
Type-II PLLs are common, but papers related to Type-I PLLs becomes common and common now. I do know that the Type-I PLL has the problem of static phase error, and the value of static phase error depends on the Vcont when PLL settles. So, due to PVT variation, the Vcont that PLL locks is different. i.e. The static phase error is different in different corners.
I want to ask is there any application in industry that can adopt Type-I PLLs? (maybe ADC? or Frequency Synthesizer? ...etc)
Thanks
