about metal fuse trimming

i saw many articles mentioning trimming pads of 70x70 um2.

i want to know whether i can use normal IO PAD as trimming pad.

PS: i use metal fuse trimming for a bandgap circuit.

I don't think there is any difference between a trimming pad and IO pad or analog pad. It depends on how you do the trimming.
