How to generate QAM modulation signal in Cadence Spectre
Sep 30th, 2019, 8:29am

Hi, I have a Polar (EER) Power Amplifier designed in Cadence Virtuoso. I need to generate the QAM signals to analyse EVM, ACPR, etc. Since it is polar modulated (EER), I need to generate the amplitude and phase signals.

I searched on the internet and found that I could generate I,Q signals in MATLAB and then import the files in Cadence spectre as pwl files.
I have seen a lot of research papers doing analysis with polar modulated power amplifiers. Is there a standard method to generate these signals and perform analysis?

I am new to this topic. Sorry, if the question is naive.

Thank you! Smiley
