Spectre simulation for audio classD amplifier
Jun 23rd, 2004, 2:54pm

Hi,

I am simulating a classD audio PWM amplifier loop with spectre.
The idle channel pss condition of the amplifier is a 50% duty
cycle squarewave. I get the PSS analysis to converge properly
under this condition.

I have a few questions :  ???

1) When I do PNOISE on the ouput (a 50% duty cycle
squarewave), does it reflect an idle channel measurement?

2) Since the output is really a continuous time signal, should I use the
PNOISE option "sources"?

3) When using this option does spectre do a noise calculation all over the periodic signal?

4) Since there is a comparator in the analog loop, does the PNOISE
still hold valid?

TIA for any advice/suggestions/answers.... Grin
