Corner simulations in Spectre
Apr 29th, 2005, 12:54am

Dear all,

I plan to test (in simulation) my circuit with varying all cases

of the provided transistor model, e.g. FF/SS/SF/FS.

Could you suggest me how to do this in Cadence Spectre ?

Thank you in advance,

Alez

Alez,

If you searched this forum for "corner simulation", you would have found the following post:
http://www.designers-guide.org/Forum/?board=ms_design;action=display;num=1074857...

For the exact simulation set-up and the parameters to be set, you will find it in the Cadence Advanced Analysis Tools User Guide, Chapter 1, Corner Analysis. In ADE, select Tools->Corners. One suggestion: use a configuration file (PCF file) to set the corner information in the corner tool, instead of filling in the information by hand. It is easy to write (get inspiration from the User's Guide) and much more flexible if you want to add variable sweeps.
