sigma-delta modulator simulink model
Nov 9th, 2005, 1:19am

Many sigma-delta modulator's simulink models include some gain blocks, whose gain value may be 0.5/1.0/2.0. How to decide these gain values and how to decide whether the gain block is needed? (suppose the sigma-delat modulator is used in fraction-N phase-locked pll)

Thanks very much!

the gains in ur delta sigma adc determine how ur adc going to shape the quantization noise in passband. it is part of the system design. take a look at ken martin's analog integrated circuit design.
