question about DC-DC converter AC models
Mar 07th, 2007, 11:52pm

I am designing a pwm current programmed boost converter. And i have search much articles about the AC
model of it , like midddlebrook's model ,the Ridley's and the model from Ericksons' book ,but all of them are
much different . I am confused that how can i  compensate the system. Do somebody give me some instruction
on it ?

Hi all,

I had the same problem for a buck.
-> I don't know if it is the more suited solution but to study loop stability, spectre PSS/PAC simulation can do the work. It will give you some insight into transfer function Gain/Phase of switched part.
-> IOR have a very interesting application note about how to compensate buck converter, I don't know if it can apply to boost converter.
-> You can refer to this topic: "DC/DC Buck's Phase Margin analysis using spectre ?" in "High-Power Design" forum
