Problem with GNUPLOT
Jul 09th, 2009, 12:34pm

Hallo !

I have some problems with GNUPLOT to produce a specific 3-D-plot:

I like to plot the classical EULER-relation f(x)=cos(x)+j*sin(x) with the following restrictions:

x-axis (real)=cos(x), y-axis(imag)=sin(x), z-axis=f(x).

As a result, there should be something like a helix in z-direction.

Can anybody tell me how to scale the axes appropriately?
Thank you and regards

I'm not really that familiar with gnuplot, but I think there's an example which does just this on http://www.gnuplot.info/demo/surface2.html. I can't test it that easily as my gnuplot version is too old (and I don't want to bother trying to update it just to test something I'm unlikely to use...)

Regards,

Andrew.
