Can you recommend papers on the optimum length of pieces of string?

Seriously, your question is too open ended and non-specific. I presume you have an application in mind? If you want a general overview of switched capacitor techniques, you'd probably best looking in the "Books" link at the top of this page. For example http://www.designers-guide.org/Books/#Gregorian-1986

Regards,

Andrew.

The classic paper about autozeroing and chopper stabilization is http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/freeabs_all.jsp?&arnumber=542410. For simulation of switched-cap circuits with SpectreRF, you should read http://www.designers-guide.org/Analysis/sc-filters.pdf. An application of these techniques for the design of the OPA333 opamp from Texas Instruments is described in http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/freeabs_all.jsp?arnumber=4014603.
