Wide Band BALUN (50MHz to 3GHz)
Jan 11th, 2012, 6:56am

Dear All,

I am looking for wideband 50MHz - 3GHz balun Module for measuring the Test chip. ( Multi-Band multiple baluns can still be OK ). The chip is a full receiver. The input to the LNA is fully differntial ( 50-Ohm i/p differential impedance)  but my VNA and other measuring equipments are single-ended.

I am going to measure by Wafer probing NOT on PCB.
So I need balun which will convert the measuring instruments single-ended signal to differential and give it to the PROBE which is connected to DUT (Test Chip)  .

Can anybody suggest some wid-band baluns ( with good Balance ) available ?

I don't know what interface you need. But mini-circuits produces a lot of good baluns.

Marki and Picosecond Pulse labs both produce good connectorized baluns.  They have excellent 180 deg phase tracking, good gain tracking, and fair return loss.
