units of PSD
Jan 19th, 2012, 5:36am

hello,

i was going through a paper for noise calculation the circuit. I have atached the expression below.

I am just little bit confusing with the units of PSD in terms of Amp^2/Hz

the expression has KF which is unitless
Cox is Farad/length^2
Wl gives unit of length^2
and freqency is Hz
gm2 is siemesn2

if i do calculation, i am left with unints  siemen^2/ (Farad* Hz)

first combination of units of gm/C gives current hence Ampere..but now thr is only gm left in expression.

so how it is ampere^2 /Hz in formula for PSD?

Thanks,
raj.
