capacitive voltage divider circuit query
May 11th, 2014, 7:54am

Hi,
I have a small doubt regarding  capacitive voltage divider(2 capacitors in series) circuit. Will the votlage gets divided by half in the middle arm if I supply a voltage source in the top end of top capacitor? Theoretically, it should be possible but I am not able to see that happening in the CAD tool I am using.

I am not sure whats happening. Can anyone here help me out

You need to have a DC path to the center node. Without that it will not simulate easily.
