A strange tran waveform
Jun 16th, 2014, 7:43pm

Hi guys,

There is a strange tran waveform shown as attachment.

Sine everything seems to be stable, why the two node waveform shown the unregular noise waveform?

That make me confused.

Is there any simulation option I can do to kill it?

I use spectre 6151 version and default option and 1n max step and moderate.

Thanks in adavance.

It is impossible to say what the problem is from your description because we don't know what the circuit is or what is different about the noisy nodes compared to other nodes.

I suspect your noisy nodes are high impedance nodes?
You could play around with tightening iabstol to control the absolute current tolerance and/or vabstol to see if either of these impact the noisy result. I would change them individually in one order of magnitude steps and see if the result changes.

Just a guess.
